It is not very often that we are left speechless by a restaurant or its menu, especially in a suburban location, but that was the case this week when we headed to White Rock for dinner.

I finally made the pilgrimage to Pearl on the Rock. On the first visit, the roads were slick, the rain, pelting, the traffic, awful, and parking, of course, a pain. I'm happy to say, the trip was well worth converting my little Italian sandals into sludge.
Where the Bites Are!
It's time Pearl gained wider attention. A dozen oyster selections from the raw bar include local Pearl Bay, Chef's Creek, Royal Miyagi and Kusshi varieties ($2.50 to $3 per piece) to coolly begin an evening of indigenously-wrought flavour.
